LAKE ALFRED - Alexander Hamilton Biggar, 84, died peacefully surrounded by his family on March 29, 2007, from a stroke following surgery.
He was born on March 23, 1923 in Buffalo NY. He was the founder of Trash and Treasures in Woodlawn NY, later named Biggar Antiques of Atlanta GA and Lake Alfred FL.
Mr. Biggar is survived by his wife (of 52 years) Bette Mae (Daggitt); sons, Jeffrey and William (Karin) Biggar; daughter, Wendy (Scott) Thounhurst; grandsons, Jason (Allison) Thounhurst and Andrew Thounhurst, all of Atlanta GA, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him death were his brothers, James and Frank Biggar and sister, Barbara Hebard. A memorial service will be held Sunday April 1st at Lake Alfred Presbyterian Church 515 E. Haines Blvd. Lake Alfred FL at 4 p.m.
