HAINES CITY - Doris Winifred Kennedy, 96, of  Winter Haven, died Sunday, March 18, 2007 at her daughter’s residence due to heart disease.

Born July 12, 1910 to Thomas and Isabel Ellis, she moved to Winter Haven in 1967 from Canada.  Doris was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was retired from Winter Haven Hospital where she had worked as a nurses assistant. 

Her husband, Alex Kennedy and son, Warren Kennedy, precede her in death.

Doris is survived by: her daughter, Joan F. Miller of Haines City; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews in Florida, New York and Canada.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, March 21, 2007 in the Oak Ridge Funeral Care Chapel, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, with Rev.
