LAKE ALFRED - Alvin Frederick Mann, 87, of Lake Alfred, FL died Sunday, March 11, 2007 at his residence after a long battle with heart failure.

Born July 13, 1919 to Frank and Mary Macier Mann in Bourbonnais, IL, he moved to Lake Alfred in 1996. He was retired from A. O. Smith Corp. in 1977 after 31 years of service as a tool & die maker. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Haines City; a member of the Knights of Columbus #4726 where he volunteered working bingo for 25 years; a member of Winter Haven Moose Lodge; a member of American Legion Post 8 , Winter Haven, FL; and a member of the International Machinist Assn. Alvin also was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps serving in WWII.

He is survived by: his wife of 58 years, Luella Arseneau Mann; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm till 7:00pm, Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL . A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, March 15, 2007 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Haines City, Fl with Father Chris Hoffman officiating.
