WINTER HAVEN – Alice J. Thomas, 89, of Winter Haven passed away, Thursday Feb. 2, 2012 at Palm Garden Nursing Home due to heart failure. 

Born March 1, 1922 at Cheltenham,  PA , she moved here 20 years ago.  She was a secretary for the City of Philadelphia and a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by her husband John Thomas, she is survived by four daughters, Alice Losinno and her husband David of Glenside, PA, CeCe Woolverton of Winter Haven, FL, Patricia Asay and her husband Don of Mission Viejo, CA and Dolores Evert of Wellington, FL; Ten grandchildren; Ten great-grandchildren; and two Great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from  4pm until 6pm,  Monday,  Feb. 6, 2012 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven.  A Funeral Mass will be at 9:00am, Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in  Winter Haven.  In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations in her name to: Special People in the Northeast at http://spin.convio.net .  Condolences may be sent at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
