LAKELAND - Charles Howard Kindred, Jr., 64, of Lakeland, FL died Monday, May 10, 2010 at his residence due to heart failure. 

Born August 12, 1945 in Sanford, FL he moved here in 1975 from Sanford.  He was the  past President of the Barnett Bank in Auburndale and President of C & M Construction; was of the Baptist Faith; and was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Doris  Marie Wetherington Mason and Charles Howard Kindred, and a son, C.H. Kindred, III.  He is survived by:  his wife of 16 years, Wanda Sansom; a son, Matt Chancey of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Margie Hooten of Winter Haven, FL; 2 brothers, Arnold Mason of Deltona, Fl and Ronnie Mason of Deland, FL; 2 sisters, Darlene Stadthagen of Pensacola, FL and Claudia Simmons of Sanford, FL; and 4 grandchildren, Dylan Kindred, Katlyn Kindred, Hunter Hooten and Mackenzie Kindred all of Winter Haven, FL; and many nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 9:00am till 10:00am, Friday, May 14, 2010 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven.  Funeral Services will follow at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Charles Harkala officiating.  Interment will be in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 1:30pm.   Condolences may be sent at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
