St. Augustine, FL - William Leslie Johnson, 79, of St. Augustine, formerly of Auburndale died Monday, May 10, 2010 at his residence due to heart failure.

Born, September 13, 1930 in Winter Haven, FL he was a lifelong resident of the area until recently moving to St. Augustine to stay with his son.   He was a citrus grove caretaker and had attended the Highlands Church of God in Lakeland. 

Preceded by his wife Kate in June of 2006, he is survived by: 3 sons, Roger Johnson of St. Augustine, FL, Gary Johnson of Kennesaw, GA and Bennie Johnson of Pensacola, FL; and a daughter, Cynthia Rogers of Lakeland, FL; a sister, Bertie Bottoms of Leoma, TN; Fifteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. 

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, May 13, 2010 in the Auburndale Memorial Park with Rev. Kent Rogers officiating.   Condolences may be sent to the family at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
