Arthur (Artie) Edward Johnson, Jr. 
   

Haines City, Florida - Arthur (Artie) Edward Johnson, Jr., 79, was relieved of his earthly burdens on February 27, 2010 due to Respiratory Failure. 

 He was born in Jersey City, NJ and was a US Navy Korean War veteran.  He was a quality control inspector for Grumman Aerospace for 30 years and participated in the success of the Apollo missions, the lunar module and the F-14 Tomcat.  He was a volunteer fireman in Eaton’s Neck and Huntington Station, NY, as well as an EMT with the Huntington Community First Aid Squad.  After the passing of his beloved wife, Francine, he retired to Haines City in 2000. 

Mr. Johnson is survived by his son, Jon Arthur Johnson and daughter-in-law, Mary Comparato Johnson, of Davenport and one grandson, Mathew Ryan Johnson, of Orlando.
