Davenport, FL - William E. "Bill" Brown, Jr. age 79 of Davenport, Florida passed away Friday (Mar. 12, 2010) from heart failure. 

Mr. Brown was born Feb 26,1931 in Wilmington, Delaware, the son of William E. and Gladys (Henry) Brown, Sr. Before retiring  and moving to Florida in 1991 from Nebraska, he  was a material control manager with 24 years of service working for Dayco Corporation of Dayton, Ohio. He was a Navy veteran having served during the Korean conflict. 

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Edna Brown; two sons, Wayne D. Brown of Deltona, Fl. and W. E. Brown III, of New Castle, Delaware; two daughters, Ellen B. Gooden of Livermore, Colorado and Stacey L. Dreiling of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; two sisters Barbara E. Lovell of Homestead, Florida and Betty J. Fields of Wilmington, Delaware; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Inurnment of  Mr. Brown  will be 2:00 PM. Wednesday (3/17/2010) at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida with Military Honors.  Memorial services will be 10:30AM. Thursday (3/18/2010) at the First Presbyterian Church of Haines City. 

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund in memory of Mr. Brown has been set up at The first Presbyterian Church of Haines City, 104 Scenic Highway, Haines City, Fl 33844.
