LAKE ALFRED - Jessie Ruth Beverly, 75, of Lake Alfred died March 11, 2010 at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center due to cancer.   

Born in Arab, Al, August 24, 1933, she moved to the area in 1969 from Port Arthur, TX. She was a business woman and a member of the Crossroads Chapel of Davenport.

Jessie was preceded in death by: her parents, Laura and William Breedwell; her sister, Willie Shelton; her daughter, Sandra Beverly; and her son, Wayne Beverly.  

She is survived by: two daughters, Karie Beverly and Angela Wilder, both of Lk. Alfred ; two sisters, Corene Downs of Lk. Alfred and Louise Hollingsworth of Ringgold, Ga.; two granddaughters, Connie Beverly of Atlanta, Ga. and Kathy Beverly of DeRidder, La.; three great grandchildren Drake Gregory, Katie Gregory, and Kacie Gregory, all of DeRidder, La..  

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 18 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., NW, Winter Haven, Fl. 33881.
