WINTER HAVEN- George Azize, 47, of Winter Haven, FL died Friday, February 26, 2010 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to injuries from an airplane accident. 

Born Sept. 6, 1962 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, he moved to Lakeland in 2004 from St. Petersburg, FL. and moved to Winter Haven 3 months ago.  He was an automobile dealer, a veteran of the U.S. Army, a civil contractor through KBR in Iraq, and was a member of the St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Lakeland.   

He is survived by: his wife of 14 years, Nathalia; his parents, Francisca Batista and Jorge W. Azize; sons, Jeremy Azize, Johnathan Azize y Bryan Merchan; daughters, Kirsten Azize, Jennifer Azize and Nathalia Merchan;  4 brothers, Juan Azize of South Carolina, William Azize of Tampa, FL, Franklyn Marquez of St. Petersburg, FL and Emver Marquez of St. Petersburg, FL. 

The family will receive friends at 8:30am Friday, March 5, 2010 at the St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 501 East Carter Rd., Lakeland, FL.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am.   Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery at 2:30pm.  Condolences may be sent at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
