WINTER HAVEN - Nellie Mae Gardiner, 88, of Winter Haven, FL died Monday, May 31, 2010 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL due to a stroke.

  Born August 19, 1921 in Clarksburg, West Virginia she moved to Winter Haven in 1992 from East Liverpool, OH.  She was a bookkeeper and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven. 

  She is preceded in death by: her husband Irving Gardiner; a brother, Richard Johnson and 2 sisters, Ruth Dingey and Martha Barbour.

  She is survived by: 3 brothers, Lawrence Roy Johnson of Aurora, OH; Charles Johnson of East Liverpool, OH and James Johnson of East Liverpool, OH; 2 sisters, Nancy Schmidbauer of East Liverpool, OH and June Linger of Texas; 3 nephews, Brian Harte of Winter Haven, FL, Ron Hargreaves of Lakeland, FL and Samuel Blazer of East Liverpool, OH; 4 nieces, Laura Hargreaves of Winter Haven, FL, Beth Esquivel of Winter Haven, FL; Tara Feagle of Auburndale, FL and Kacie Hargreaves of Winter Haven, FL.

  The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till  7:00pm, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, June 3, 2010 in the Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery.
