WINTER HAVEN- James L. Meador, age 76 of Winter Haven, Fl. passed away Tuesday (June 15, 2010) at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Haines City, Fl.

  Mr. Meador was the son of Alfonzo M. and Margaret Sarah (Cummings) Meador and was born February 18, 1934 in Flat River, Missouri. He moved to Florida 10 years ago from Park Hills, Missouri. He retired from his Veterinary practice in 1995 after 30 years. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of Winter Haven Baptist Church.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, Sam and James Meador and a daughter Sandra Meador.  Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jacqueline A. Meador, Winter Haven. 2 Daughters Melinda Edgar of Farmington, Missouri and Melissa Thurman of Bone Terre, Missouri. 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great grandchild. Memorial services will be held in Missouri.
