Andrew Grady Hay

  

 

   

Lake Hamilton -  Andrew Grady Hay, Sr. age 83 of Lake Hamilton, Florida passed away Sunday at Good Shepherd Hospice in  Auburndale.

 

Mr. Hay was born in Upson County, Georgia on March 16, 1927, the son of Andrew Jackson and Annie Lou (Raney) Hay. He and his wife Gloria Maxine (Jonas) moved to Lake Hamilton in 1967 from Belmont, North Carolina. He was an automobile mechanic who had worked at several of the local automobile dealerships including; Dexter Daniels Ford, Winter Haven; Hugo Krave Cadillac, Lake Wales; and Ridge Chevrolet in Haines City.  During the early 70’s he also served as the Chief of Police in Lake Hamilton. He was and Army Veteran of WWII and of the Baptist faith.

 

Survivors are his wife, Gloria Maxine Hay of Lake Hamilton; 2 Sons Andrew Grady Hay, Jr. of Thomaston, Ga. and Andrew Lee Hay of Lake Hamilton, Fl;  Daughter Sherry Edwina Bluette of Peoria, Arizona;  Brother Jack Hay of Meansville, Ga. two sisters, Clara Creamer of Thomaston, Ga. and Gloria Jean English of Barnesville, Ga.

 

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 PM. at the Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, Fl. Graveside services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM. at Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City, Fl.
