WINTER HAVEN - Sister Leonora G. Roman, OP,  77, of Winter Haven, FL died Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Consulate Health Care in Winter Haven, Fl due to Cancer.

Born to Wenceslao Galapia and Laureana Juan Galapia on June 13, 1933 in Manila, Phillipines, she moved here in 1984. Leonora received her B. S. Education in 1956 where she majored in History and Literature then her Masters in Library Science in 1976. She taught High School in the Phillipines, she was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the 3rd Order of Dominican Laity, Sinag Foundation (Focolare), and the Lord's Flock Catholic Charismatic Community.

Leonora is survived by her husband of 45 years, Joselito P. Roman of Winter Haven; son, Anthony Roman of the Phillipines; brothers, Rodrigo Galapia and Avelino Galapia also of the Phillipines and sister, Virginia Yumen of Hawaii.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 9, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winter Haven. Father Peter Puntal will officiate. Interment will follow at Lakeside Memorial Park.
