HAINES CITY - Lawrence Clifton Mallory age 84 of Haines City, Fl. passed away Friday at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.
Mr. Mallory was born January 2, 1926 in Richmond, Virginia and had moved to Haines City in 1972 from Brooksville, Fl. He was a retired general line foreman for Florida Power now Progress Energy and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Haines City, where he was a Deacon. He had also been a Boy Scout leader, a past member of the Lions Club in Wildwood, Fl and a member of the IBEW. Mr. Mallory had proudly served his country as a Gunner’s Mate in the United States Navy during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ovanda Waller and Laura (Hardwicke) Mallory, brothers Alston Mallory, O.W. Mallory and Everett Mallory.
He is survived by his wife Lee (Jones) Mallory, Haines City, Sons, Scott E. Mallory of Haines City and Clifton J. Mallory of Lake Wales, Fl; Daughter, Laura Lee Bradbury of Easton, Maryland; 8 grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM. Tuesday (7/27, 2010) at Florida Nation Cemetery, Bushnell, Fl. A memorial Service will be held that day (Tuesday) at 3:00 PM. at First Presbyterian Church, Haines City. Fl.
It is requested that in lieu of flowers donations may be sent in Lawrence Mallory name to the First Presbyterian Church.
