
HAINES CITY - Joe Rybak, 91, of Haines City, FL passed away on January 4, 2010 due to cancer.
He was born September 10, 1918 in Morrisville, VT and moved to Florida in 1945 after being discharged from the Army, where he served during W.W. II, part of the time as a POW in Germany. Joe finally came to Haines City from Tampa in 1951 when he opened and operated Joe's Barber Shop until the 1970’s when he closed up and went to work for the U.S. Post Office as a route carrier until his retirement. Joe was an active member of Eastside Baptist Church of Haines City where he was a Deacon and he enjoyed hunting and going fishing.
He is predeceased by his wife, Sarah Rybak and survived by his son, Donald Rybak of Haines City; brother, Sigfried Rybak of El Paso, TX; granddaughters, Pamela and Shelley Rybak both of Auburndale, FL and great grandchildren, Alex and Katia Rybak.
Visitation will be Weds. From 5-7 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City with a funeral on Thurs. at 11 am at the funeral home.
