WINTER HAVEN - Norma Jean Posey, 75, went to be with her Lord Thursday, Jan.7, 2010 after battling cancer. 

Jean was born Aug. 10, 1934 to Myrtle and Oather Smith in Hamilton, Ohio and moved to central Florida in the early 1950's.  She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her husband John R. "Bobby" Posey.  She is survived by: her daughter, Debbie (Roger) Donley  of Winter Haven; son, Rick (Barbara) Bailey of Byron, GA, ;Step-daughters, Cindy (Jeff) Townsend of Merritt Island, FL, Susan (Steve) Bass of Webster, FL, Patricia (Greg) Howard of Anchorage, AL ; step-son John (Billie)Posey of Valrico, FL; brother, Tom Smith ; sisters, Bonnie Whitaker and Liz Thompson ; 15 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 5:00pm till 7:00pm, Sunday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven.  Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Monday, Jan. 11, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church, 2101 Overlook Drive, Winter Haven.  Interment will follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 2101 Overlook Dr., Winter Haven, 33884.
