Lowell Burch

 Lowell Burch

HAINES CITY - Lowell Burch, age 79 of Haines City, Florida passed away January 1, 2010 at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Ct. from respiratory failure. Lowell was born to John Daniel and Anne Bell (Beck) Burch in Coffee County, Alabama on  July 10,  1930 and moved from Alabama to Haines City in 1953. where he married his wife of 50 years, Sybil Hayes Burch.

Lowell was employed by the Florida Pipe & Foundry for numerous years and at the closing of the foundry he went into the exterminating Business. Lowell was very involved with the people and he became very well known and trusted throughout Polk County.  After retiring he still had many customers who only wanted him so he stayed spraying for those as more of a hobby than a job.

He loved people, and people loved him. His family was the most important part of his life as he wanted them around him all the time. He was a joyful, fun loving husband, father, grandfather and man who loved to hunt and fish. He taught that love of the outdoors to both his children, who in turn taught it to there’s. He also loved sports and gave that love to his children.  He was a member for many years of the Haines City Athletic Boosters. It really didn’t matter to him which game was on TV as long as it was  sports,  baseball, football or golf.    He also followed all the games of his children, grandchildren and even the great grandchildren for as long as his health allowed. He was also active in his community be being a 25 year member of the Haines City Volunteer

Fire Department.   He dedicated many hours of love to his churches; Faith Temples Assembly of God and Freedom Fellowship Assembly of God.
