WINTER HAVEN – Ernest E. Batman, 89, of Winter Haven, FL died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at his residence due to heart failure. 

Born Sept. 23, 1920 in Chattanooga, TN he has been a resident of Winter Haven for over 12 years.  Ernest was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a B-24 pilot during WWII.  He was a retired Captain for Delta Air Lines. 

Preceded in death by his wife Edith, he is survived by: a daughter, Rebecca Batman of Winter Haven; and 3 sons, Curtis Batman of West Palm Beach, FL, Ralph Batman of Atlanta, GA and Ernest Batman, Jr. of Atlanta, GA.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.  In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Salvation Army in Winter Haven.  Condolences may sent at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com
