Diane Hustad Riggins

Diane Riggins

 

DAVENPORT, FLORIDA - Diane Hustad Riggins went home to be with the Lord, on February 13, 2010, peacefully in her sleep, at her home in Davenport, Florida. She was 70.

Diane was born on May 15, 1939, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin to Arthur Staal and Alice Reichert Staal. Diane was an Honor Roll student who graduated 5th in her class from Arrowhead High School in Hartland, Wisconsin, in 1955. Diane worked on an assembly line for Peewaukee Plastics Company, in Peewaukee, Wisconsin and as a long distace operator for Bell Telephone company in Waukeesha, Wisconsin. She worked as a nurses Aide, taking care of new mothers and female surgery patients at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. She worked as a retail Salesperson, for Annie's Gifts at Old Town Shops, in Kissimmee, Florida. Diane resided at Three Worlds Park, in Davenport, Florida for the last 26 years, where she had a lot of friends and enjoyed her favorite pastime of Bingo.

Diane was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Kelly Streicher, ex-husband, John Streicher, son, Sanford Hustad, Jr.; husband Sanford Hustad, Sr.; sister, Patricia Zilmer; ex-husband, Eugene Riggins; parents, Arthur and Alice Staal and grandchild, Joseph Streicher. She is survived by; sons, Sever Hustad, of Tavernier, Florida, Steven Hustad and wife Teresa, of London, England, Kevin Streicher of Wisconsin; sisters, Bonnie Staal Franklin and husband Bernard and Lynette Staal Batchelor, both of Wisconsin; brother, Carl Staal and wife Mary, of Orlando, Florida. Eight grandchildren; Holly and Sammy Hustad of London, England, Marie Streicher, Aaron Streicher, Daniel Streicher, Elizabeth Streicher, Lainey Streicher and Amanda Ward, all of Wisconsin; Eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, Florida, with Reverend Bill Schoonover officiating. Interment of ashes will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, in Davenport, Florida. Memorial contributions may be made to; American Cancer Society for Research.
