WINTER HAVEN - John Lee King, 66, of Winter Haven, FL died Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Winter Haven Hospital due to COPD.

Born July 2, 1943 in Houston, Texas, he moved to Winter Haven 20 years ago from South Carolina.  He was a retired captain for Saudi Arabian Airlines and a member of The Quiet Birdmen.  He was a graduate of  The Citadel – The Military College of South Carolina.   Capt. King was the son of the late Lila Ross Cleckler and Everett L. King, and is survived by: his wife, Barbara F. King, a son, Allen W. King of Florida, a daughter, Rebecca K. Cohen of Atlanta, GA, a sister, Leslie K. Drummond of Camden, SC,  and  two grandchildren, Daniel R. Cohen and Nealy C. King.
