WINTER HAVEN - Gary Charles Kidd of Winter Haven, passed away from cancer on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Good Shepherd Hospice Residents Center.  He was 64 years old.

He was born September 11, 1945 in Jersey City, NJ and raised in West Nyack, NY. Gary moved to Winter Haven with his wife Suzanne in 1993 from Branchburg, New Jersey. He owned and operated Distinctive Appliances of Winter Haven from 1999 -2008.  Prior to that, he was a Field Supervisor & Millwright for W & H Systems.  Gary served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1965-1967 as a parachute rigger and occasionally jumped with the Golden Knights parachuting team.  Gary was President of Cypresswood Garden Patio Homeowners Association from 2006 - 2009. He was a member of The Ferrari Club of Florida, American Legion Post #8 and St. Mathew’s Catholic Church of Winter Haven. 

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Chris, and a stepdaughter Debbe Sandage. 

He is survived by his loving wife Suzanne, stepsons:  Kevin Sandage of Oxford, PA, and Sean Sandage of Stanhope, NJ; his brothers: Ken & Tim Kidd; Daughter in laws: Christine and Alicia; and his grandchildren:  Morgan & Brandon Schwartz, and Skylar Sandage. 

Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 to 6 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven.
