
POLK CITY - Charles Wesley Huggins, Sr., 53, of Polk City, FL died February 9,2010 at Florida Hospital in Zephyrhills, FL due to cancer.
Born November 25, 1956 to Carlton D. and Annette Smith Huggins in Florala, AL. He has been a lifelong resident of Polk County. He was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Polk City and was a Maintenance Supervisor for Tri-County Human Services. Wesley loved camping and fishing.
Preceded in death by his father, Wesley is survived by: his wife, Rebekah; his mother, Annette; 2 sons, Chuck Huggins of Polk City and Zachary Huggins of Auburndale; 2 daughters, Jennifer Smith of Nichols, GA and Alysha Huggins of Auburndale; a brother, David Huggins of Kennesaw, GA; 3 sisters, Linda Spence of Dade City, FL, Genevieve Jones of Plant City, FL and Carol Gilileo of Lakeland, FL; 2 granddaughters, Alana Huggins and BrookLynn Smith; and 3 grandsons, Austin Huggins, Jayce Smith and Tristyn Huggins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm till 8:00pm, Friday, Feb. 12, 2010 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Sat. Feb. 13, 2010 in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
