DAVENPORT - Thomas G. Royce, 72, of Davenport, FL passed away peacefully Feb. 17, 2010 at home with his wife, Joyce, by his side after a battle with lung cancer.
He was born July 2, 1937 in Lansing, MI to Rudolph and Pauline Royce. He graduated high school at Eastern, and then continued on to MI State and Western MI colleges. He was a swimmer in school and college. Tom was an avid sports fan; one of his passions was coaching soccer. His highlight was his team of 16-year-old boys from Perrysburg, OH who were honored to play in Europe. Tom lived in several cities, most recent were Perrysburg, OH, Grand Rapids and LeRoy, MI. They retired to Davenport in 2004.
Tom his survived by his wife, of 38 years, Joyce, 5 sons, 3 daughters, their spouses; 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 brothers and their families.
A memorial service will be Sat. March 6, 2010 at 1 pm at Banner of Christ, 1111 68th St. S.W., Bryon Center, MI with pastor Mike Caley officiating.
