SENECA, SC - John Hansen, Jr. 83, formerly of Auburndale, FL died Thursday, April 15, 2010 in Seneca, SC due to Heart Failure.

Born in Clinton, IA to the late John Peter and Lillian Ivy Krebs Hansen, he was a Sign Painter, a member of the Moose Lodge, a longtime Barber Shop Chorus member, and a lifelong fisherman.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, a son Timothy John Hansen; and a brother, Lloyd John Hansen.

John is survived by: his wife of 62 years, Mary Dawson Hansen; 2 sons, Jay Timothy Hansen and his wife, Nikolina of Seneca, SC and Mark Allen Hansen and his wife, Mourette of Auburndale, FL; six grandchildren, John T. Hansen, Sarah Hansen Leon, Jennifer Gardner, Mark Hansen, Jr., Leigh Hansen Quigley, , Sarah Candler; and Five Great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, April 24, 2010 in the Oak Ridge Funeral Care Chapel, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven.  In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be made to the Lila Doyle Nursing Facility, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC  29672.
