BONIFAY, FL - James Rayford (Ray) Summers Sr. 82, of Bonifay, FL, went home to be with the Lord April 1, 2010 due to heart failure.

James had lived in Haines City and Lake Hamilton area about 62 years he worked in the citrus industry for 40 years for Orange-Co of Florida and later Lester Donley & Sons until he retired.

He was born was November 17, 1927 in Sycamore, GA into a family of 10 children. 4 boys and 6 girls. He has a brother Travis Summers living in Lakeland, FL and JC Summers living in Ashburn, GA.

James was married to Nyago Crawford Summers for 38 years. There are 3 children, Renee Summers Smith of Winter Haven, FL, Phillip Wayne Walling Jr. of Haines City, FL and James Rayford Summers Jr. of Haines City. 6 grandchildren, Jason Smith of Winter Haven and Chris Walling and Hunter Walling of Haines City, Colton Summers also of Haines City. Nicole Haerinck of Jacksonville, FL. Jayson Haerinck of Haines City, and 3 great grand children, which were his life. James will be truly missed by his family that loved him deeply.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 4/6/10 from 5:30-7 pm at Lake Hamilton Baptist Church. There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, 4/7/10 at 10 am at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
