WINTER HAVEN – Mrs. Evelyn Joyce Levens, 80, of Winter Haven, passed away on August 5, 2009 at the Good Shepherd Hospice Residence Center in Auburndale with her family at her side due to heart failure.

She was born October 14, 1928 in Winter Haven, FL to Frank and Ruby Hall.  The main focus of her life was raising her five daughters along with her husband of 60 years, Harvey .  She loved the ocean and had a great affection for animals.  She enjoyed gospel music and was a member of the West Winter Haven Church of God. 

She is survived by: her husband, Harvey Levens; five daughters, Lisa Jacobs and  husband Dennis, Gail Taylor and husband Michael, Leslie Derrick and husband Scott, Linda Dees and husband Kevin, and Laura Gallant.  She has 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 10:00am till 11:00am, Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven.  Funeral Services will follow at 11:00am with Rev. David Gurgel officiating.  Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
