Betty Evans

WINTER HAVEN, Florida - Ms. Betty M. Evans passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2009 in Auburndale at Good Shepherd Hospice. She was 76.

Born to Claude and Alice Reed Moore on June 28, 1933 in Chattanooga. Tennessee, she moved to Winter Haven, Florida from Anniston, Alabama in 1980. She was retired from Juice Bowl in Lakeland, Florida. She loved her family and her grandchildren, she loved to do her yard work and was Baptist by faith.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband William "Sonny" Evans; she is survived by her children Deborah Lancaster of Lake Alfred, Florida, Michael Evans of Oxford, Mississippi, Samantha Evans of Anniston, Alabama, Barbara Evans of Winter Haven, Bill Evans of Winter Haven, and Brittney Tobitt of Winter Haven; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City, Florida. Dr. Jim Wade of Winter Haven First Baptist Church will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
