HAINES CITY - Marie Parnell, 84, of Haines City, FL passed away on August 28, 2009 due to cancer.

She was born November 16, 1924 in Freyming, France and moved to Haines City from there in 1946. Marie was a homemaker and a member of Shamrock First Baptist Church.

She is predeceased by her husband, James W. Parnell; parents, Gene and Marie Schmitt Churka and brother, Charles Churka.

Marie is survived by her sons, Carl (Carolyn) Parnell of Haines City and Robert (Nona) Parnell of Polk City, FL; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, 8/31/09 from 10-11 am with the funeral to follow at 11 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. I
