DUNDEE, FLORIDA - Mrs. Eva Powell of Dundee, Florida passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2009, in Auburndale, Florida. She was 84.

She was born in Westville, Florida to William Arthur and Beulah Singletary Smith and has been a lifelong resident of Dundee. Eva had worked at Citrus World in Lake Wales, Florida until her retirement and was a member of the First Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Haines City, Florida. In her younger days Eva loved to bake cakes for her family and friends and later in life she enjoyed taking long walks and picking the flowers she saw on her way.

Preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Millard F. Powell Eva is survived by her children, Marlene Leatherwood of Winter Haven, Florida, Ronald Wayne Powell of Haines City, Nancy Miles of Haines City, and Suzanne West of Auburndale; sister, Gladys Lynch of Haines City; brother, Olin Smith of Lakeland, Florida; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City and a funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery, with James Campbell of First Apostolic Pentecostal Church officiating.
