HAINES CITY, FLORIDA - Florence Dunbar, of Haines City, Florida, died September 15, 2009, in Haines City, Florida. She was 96.

She was born August 18, 1913 in Boston, Massachusetts to James and Florie Wood Hattersley and moved to Haines City in 1978 from Saugus, Massachusetts. Florence was a receptionist for H & R Block and also Sears and Roebucks. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church, Haines City where she was involved in the choir and Senoir Patriots.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Dunbar; son, Richard Charles; daughter, Denise brother, James; sisters, Phyllis and Doris and she is survived by her children, John Dunbar, Jr. of Clinton, Massachusetts, Janice Gapp of Grafton, New York, Lorraine Jeffrey of Haines City, Florida; sister, Edith of Jupiter, Florida; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

A service will be held Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Landmark Baptist Church with Brother John Bunch officiating. Final resting place will be in Saugus, Massachusetts.
