
WINTER HAVEN - Ruth E. Buchman of Winter Haven, Florida passed away Friday (9/11/09) at Good Shepherd Hospice following a long illness. She was 72.
Born February 15, 1937, to Ellis Hamilton and Esther (Warden) Ramage in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she moved to this area in 1999 from West Hempstead, New York. She was a retired legal secretary and member of the Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Mr. & Mrs. Club, in Hempstead, New York.
Mr. Buchman loved to paint, cook, do ceramics, played cards, dominoes and Bingo. She was also a Queen Mother of the Red Hat Group and was a past president of the Four Lake Charities where she promoted the adoption of Senior Orphans as one of their charities.
She was preceded in death by a son Kevin R. Buchman. She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Buchman, to whom she was married for 38 years; Daughters; Kathleen Haynes of New York, Elizabeth Kelly of New York, Son, David Buchman, of New York 10 Grand children and 3 great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M., Tuesday September 15, 2009, till funeral services at 6:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Oak Ridge Funeral Care with the Reverend Bill Mifsud officiating.
