LAKE WALES, FLORIDA - Osvaldo Vega passed away October 18, 2009 at Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, Florida, Florida. He was 70.

Born May 17, 1939 in Yauco, Puerto Rico to Augusto Vega Galarza and Seberiana Feliciano Sanchez, he moved to this area from there in 1998. He was a machinist, making composite rivets, for Advance and Stern, in Massachusetts. He was a member of Family Altar Christian Church in Dundee, Florida.

Preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Arlene Vega and Melissa Vega, Mr. Vega is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carmen Bonilla Vega, of Lake Wales, Florida; daughters, Patria Ivette Aponte, Sebedanishya Nieves, Mariella Ivelys Calderon, Marcy Vega; nephew, Adrian Vega; brothers, Adrian "Chan" Vega, Juan "Johnny" Vega, Xavier "Pa Po" Vega; sisters, Isabel Vega-Ortiz, Elsa Vega-Mercado, Lorenza "Doris" Vega-Rigual, Lillian "Lily" Vega, Sandra Vega and ten grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon, Friday, October 23, 2009, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, Florida, with Pastor David Hernandez, and Pastor Wanda Hernandez, Family Altar Christian Church, Dundee, Florida, officiating. Final resting place will be at Lake Wales Cemetery, Lake Wales, Florida.
