LAKELAND - Roger W. Parks, of Lakeland, age 68 passed peacefully October 15, 2009 from respiratory failure.

Roger was born August 19, 1941 in Flint, Michigan. Roger is preceded in death by his Father Clyde Parks, two brothers David W. Parks, Richard A. Parks and son Vincent J. Parks. Roger retired from the US Navy after 20 years of active duty, including tours in Viet Nam. He was active in several Masonic Orders as well as spending much time county hunting with Ham Radio.

Surviving are wife Kathy, three daughters Kim, Lisa, and Karin. Daughter-in-law Pam Parks and Grandchildren including Tiffany and husband Timothy Freudeman from Florida. Roger is also survived by his mother Blythe (Hager) Parks, and brother Paul A. Parks and wife Linda from Kalamazoo, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be set up in Roger's name to Humanitarian Funds.
