DAVENPORT - Andres M. Garcia, of Davenport, Florida passed away on October 15, 2009, in Haines City, Florida. He was 79.  

He was born February 23, 1930 in Ciales, Puerto Rico and moved to Davenport six years ago from Kansas City, Missouri. Andres had worked on the assembly line for General Motors for eighteen years and he was a member of C.C.C. Shalom.  

He is predeceased by his mother, Antonia Miranda and is survived by his wife, Luisa R. Garcia; sons, Hector Garcia of California, Rafael Tormes of Smithville, Missouri, Javier Tormes of Liberty, Missouri; daughters, Gladys Douglas of Tallahassee, Florida, Annette Alldredge of Haines City, Florida, Nereida Esquiuel of California, Beatrice Garcia of Michigan; brothers, Hector Ramos of Massachusetts, Felix Ramos, Angel Ramos both of Puerto Rico; sister, Gloria Ramos of Ciales, Puerto Rico; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  

A visitation will be Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 5-7 pm with the funeral to follow at 7 pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City with Pastor Abiud Caba of C.C.C. Shalom officiating.
