Haines City - Katie Lee Roberts Butler Willis, 94, of Haines City, FL passed away on November 15, 2009 due to natural causes.

She was born June 22, 1915 in Colquitt County, GA and moved to Haines City in 1936 from Moultrie, GA.

Katie was a homemaker. 

She was a very active member of Haines City Church of God for 40 years, in both Moultrie, GA, and Haines City, where she was named Christian Worker of the year in 1982.  She also served as treasurer and a Sunday school teacher and superintendent, YPE president, choir member and director.  When president of the women’s auxiliary, she raised money by selling more than a ton of fruitcakes.  With the proceeds she purchased many things for the church, including a like new Sunday school bus.  She was also a poll worker for some 30 years.

She is predeceased by her husband, Russell E. Willis and stepson Randolf Willis; and is survived by her sons Dr. C. LaDon Butler and Dean E. Willis; brother, Fred Roberts; grandchildren, Steve, Gregory and Gary Butler, Brian, Amy and Melissa Willis; and great grandchildren, Megan, Bronwyn Jonah Butler and
