AUBURNDALE - Marie Tate, 88, of Auburndale passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2009, after battling pulmonary fibrosis and other illnesses for several months. 

Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Wade Fletcher Tate, a son, Donnell Wayne Tate, 2 brothers, Eugene Watson and Doyle Watson and 1 sister, Matrice Fortune. 

Marie is survived by her 3 daughters, Florence (Dale) Miller of Murphy, NC, Glenda (Joe) Jasso of Lakeland, FL and Gail Tate of Auburndale, FL.  Her grandchildren, Ricky Skudlarek, Michael Tate, Carla Roberts, Mark Roberts, Greg Jasso, Michele Jasso Barrow, Julie Jasso Roth, Holly Ives Dills, Virginia Ives Taylor and Paula Ives Moon, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. 

Marie is also survived by a brother, Jim Watson of Southport, FL and 3 sisters, Loraine Forker of Bartow, FL, Nuna Still of Graceville, FL and Melba Mewborn of Jacksonville, NC. 

Visitation will be Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.  at Oak Ridge Funeral Care,  2425 West Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL with the funeral service immediately following.
