HOMOSASSA - Reginald R. Goodmon, Sr., age 87 of Homosassa, Fl. passed away Monday from heart failure at the H.H.P. Hospice in Inverness, Fl. 

He was born in Lakeland, Fl on August 3, 1922 and moved to Citrus County and Homosassa in 2005 from Davenport where he had made his home for over 41 years.  Mr. Goodmon  was a retired ranch hand and carpenter. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church for over 70 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rountree and Martha Jane (Brooks) Goodmon and his wife Pauline Goodmon. He is survived by 3 sons, Reginald  (Anne) Goodmon, Jr.  Poinciana, Fl; Rountree Goodmon, Mt. Olive, WV; Elbert (Nancy) Goodman of Homosassa, Fl.; 1 daughter, Susie (Alvin) Gloner, Fl; several Step Children and many grand and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM. Sunday (11/15/09) at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 Grace Avenue, Haines City, Fl.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Monday (11/16/09) at  Oak Hill Baptist Church, Loughman, Fl. Burial will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery.
