LAKE WALES – Gordon Robert Tallman, 75, of Lake Wales, FL died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at his residence due to heart failure.

Born October 29, 1933 to Russell “Red” and Beatrice Robertshaw Tallman in Detroit, MI, he moved to the area 22 years ago from Michigan.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a graduate of Michigan State University and retired from Ford Motor Company as a Purchasing Manager. 

Preceded in death by his parents and a son, Gregory Tallman, he is survived by: his wife of 36 years, Carol J. Tallman; a son Marshall Tallman of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Corrine Gracianette of Portland, OR; a step-son, Jeffrey Baker of Woodstock, GA; a step-daughter, Terri Daniels of Ackworth, GA; a brother, Alan Tallman of Fairhope, AL; and 7 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 7:00pm, Friday, May 8, 2009 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., NW, Winter Haven, FL .  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, May 9, 2009 in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
