WINTER HAVEN - Phyllis Kondor, age 80, passed away May 9, 2009 at Winter Haven Hospital from heart failure.

She was born in LaPorte, Ind. June 28, 1928 where she spent her youth and young adult life. She has been a Winter Haven resident for the past 48 years. She and her husband James were in the grocery business together where she was a bookkeeper in Winter Haven, and surrounding Central Florida area.

Phyllis and James were married July 4th, 1949 in South Bend Indiana. Phyllis was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother to her husband and three children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Norma and Lloyd Gable, and loving grandson Adam Dunn.

Phyllis is survived by her beloved husband, James; children Suzanne Dunn (Denny), Lakeland, Fl, John Kondor (Gay) Winter Haven, Fl, William Kondor ( Paula) American Canyon, Ca. Her grandchildren, Eric Dunn, Christopher Kondor (Tania), Patrick Kondor, Amber Kondor, Leah Kondor, Brook Kondor, step grand children James Kondor ( Heather ), Michael Stephenson, and step great children Trinity, Matrix, and Melody; and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Thursday, May 14, 2009 from 6:00pm till 8:00pm, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Boulevard, Winter Haven.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am, Friday, May 15, 2009 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Chapel in Winter Haven.  Interment will follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
