WINTER HAVEN - Edwin Ryan Bailey, 46, of Winter Haven died Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Winter Haven Hospital due to a heart attack.

Born August 5, 1962 to Clarence and Evelyn Graben Bailey in Lineville, Alabama, he moved here 11 years ago from Panama City Beach, FL.  He was an award winning artist, competing regularly in gallery competitions and outdoor art festivals.  He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Winter Haven where he served as; a Deacon, Crown Financial Ministry Coordinator, Sunday School Teacher, and on the Family Ministry Leadership Team;  He also was on the Board of Directors for the Ridge Art Assn.; a member of the Lake Wales Art Center, Polk Museum of Art; and Arts on the Park; was the Editor of Artifacts Magazine; an Adjunct Professor at Florida Southern College and Barry University; and he taught Art Workshops throughout the Southeast. He was a courtroom artist and made numerous television appearances on behalf of the arts.  He was an avid writer, for the arts, his Church and for his own entertainment.  

Preceded in death by his mother, he is survived by: his wife Judy Bailey; 2 sons, Trevor and Connor Bailey; his father Clarence Bailey and his step mother, Willene of Lineville, AL; and a sister Terrie Coggins of Birmingham, AL.

The Memorial Service will be at 6:00pm, Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Calvary Baptist Church, 2101 Overlook Dr., Winter Haven, with Pastor Tim Williams officiating.   The family has requested that no flowers be sent and instead Memorial Donations be made to: The Trust Fund for his children at Sun Trust Bank; the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund  or the Ridge Art Association.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
