WINTER HAVEN - Thomas E Kondor, age 69, passed peacefully to the Lord on April 30th, 2009. He was surrounded by loved ones when complications of diabetes sent him home to his Holy Father in heaven. 

He was a longtime resident of Winter Haven, Florida where he was an accountant and grocer. Tom was born in South Bend, Indiana where he spent his youth.  In 1963, he was joined in holy matrimony to Barbara Nutter. Their union was blessed with four children.  Thomas was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was dedicated to his church and family.   His spirit of strength, selfless giving, and support will be greatly missed by all.

Thomas is survived by his loving and devoted wife Barbara; his children Michael Kondor (Lara) of Seminole, FL, Debbie Kahler (Scott) of Gainesville, FL, Diane Thompson (Charlie) of Lake Placid, FL and David Kondor (Angie) of Nolensville, TN; his grandchildren Noah Kondor, Christian Kondor, Brad Kondor, Hannah Thompson, Alex Kondor, and Mira Kondor;  his brothers James Kondor of Winter Haven, FL and John Kondor of Deep Gap, North Carolina; his sister Kathleen Waldron of South Bend, Indiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, May 4th, 2009 at Oak Ridge Funeral Home, 2425 Havendale Blvd, Winter Haven, FL; a prayer service will begin at 6:15pm. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, May 5th, 2009, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church-Chapel, 532 Avenue M, N.W., Winter Haven, FL.  A reception will follow in the Family Life Center at Saint Joseph’s Church.
