LAKE ALFRED - Peter Frank Bellizzie, 78, of Lake Alfred, died Sunday, May 10, 2009 at Winter Haven Hospital due to kidney failure. 

Born June 29, 1930 to Dominick and Rose Romagano Bellizzie in Philadelphia, PA he moved here 5 years ago from New Jersey.  He was a retired Police Officer with the City of Philadelphia.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven, FL ; a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the Kings Pointe Veterans Assn.

Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by: his wife of 57 years, Anna L. Bellizzie; a son, Dominick Bellizzie of Philadelphia, PA; a daughter, Roseann Steedle of Ship Bottom, NJ; 2 grand children; and 5 great grand children.
