HAINES CITY - Christine Bowman, of Haines City, Florida, died March 26, 2009, in Lakeland. She was 85.

She was born December 24, 1923 in Tampa, Florida to Jack Lindsey and Susie Bell Davis Clark and moved to Haines City as a small child. Christine was employed in the citrus industry doing various jobs, she was a member  of Eastside Baptist Church, Haines City. She liked to quilt and do embroidery but the most important thing in her life was her family, she loved them dearly.

She was predeceased by her husband, James Paul Bowman and she is survived by her children, Kenneth L. Beach of Lake Hamilton, Florida, Connie Beach Lenton of Lakeland, Florida, Jimbo Bowman of Lake Hamilton; grandchildren, Leeah Jones, Brad Bowman, J. David Lenton, Sandy Corlett, Jessica Branch; great grandchildren, Skyla Jones, Bailie Jean Fender and Colton Branch

Visitation will be Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 10-11 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, with services to follow at 11 am at Forest Hill Cemetery with Pastor Mike Thompson to officiate.
