Edward Cornelius Cammer, Jr, 85, of Winter Haven died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at his residence due to heart failure.
Born October 18, 1923 in Wilson, NC he moved here 47 years ago and worked as an Inspector for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army. He was also a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, loved to play golf, and was a member of The Masters Golf Club in Winter Haven.
Preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Cammer last year, he is survived by; his daughter and son-in-law: Wendy and Bill Walters of Winter Haven; his beloved granddaughter: Catherine Walters of Winter Haven, and his half grandchildren: Jim and Karen Harmer, Tari Murphy, and James Walters, all of Lakeland; and his great-grandchildren: Brandi and Matthew Murphy, Harley Walters, and James and Ann Marie Harmer .
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Oak Ridge Funeral Care Chapel, 2425 Havendale Boulevard, Winter Haven, FL with Dr. David Gagnon officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that Memorial Donations be made in his name to Cornerstone Hospice, 2590 Havendale Boulevard, NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881.
