DAVENPORT - Lillie Mae Hicks Judy, 88, of Davenport, FL, died March 12, 2009, in Auburndale, FL from complications of a stroke.

She was born February 10, 1921 in Lakeland, FL and has been a lifelong resident of Davenport. Lillie was an administrator at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Kissimmee; she was the past mayor of Davenport and she was on the city council as well as managing the town’s swimming pool for years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Davenport, and she enjoyed gardening; Lillie was a loving mother and grandmother who loved caring for her children and grandchildren, her motto was “I Tried”. She is predeceased by her husband, Bethel Judy and she is survived by her son, Roger Judy of Davenport; daughter, Nell Judy Johnson of Winter Haven, FL; brother, Horace Stinson; sisters, Roselle Lindsey and Genieve Gallant all of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, Leslie Susan Martin, Frank Judy, Pamela Judy, Gary Folk, Holley Markey, Jeremey Crane, Heidi Crane; great grandchildren, Tyler, Tristyn Rose, Ciara-Lynne, Cole Jackson, Madyson, Brandon, Michael, Cory, Brittany and Robert Lee.

Visitation will be Monday, March 16, 2009 from 10-11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or Good Shepherd Hospice. Condolences may be sent via www.oakridgefuneralcare.com
