DAVENPORT, FLORIDA - Lois Evelyn Porter passed away March 10, 2009 at her Daughter's home in Davenport, Florida.  She was 89. Born April 20, 1919 in Caruthersville, Missouri to James Mathenia  and Nancy Morrison Mathenia, she was a resident at Crown Point for 2 1/2 years.  She was a member of First Church of God in St. Joseph, Michigan.  She was a homemaker and a member of Y.W.C.A. in St. Joseph. Preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, James  Jackson and 2nd husband Stan Porter; daughter Barbara Conlin, three brothers and three sisters, she is survived by sons, S. Louis Jackson of Anderson, Indiana, Jerry W. Jackson of Stevensville, Michigan; daughters Martha A. Petersen of Springfield, Missouri, Judy Stewart of Davenport, Florida; sister, Florence Holt of St. Louis, Missouri, nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
