HAINES CITY - Nell Washington, age 88,  beloved wife of the late Robert Washington, for 56 years and loving mother of Peter, Robert Jr.,  Ann and the late Don Washington, grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 2, passed away of heart failure on March 10, 2009.

Born in Winter Haven to Don and Frances Kelso Register, Nell lived in Haines City for 48 years.

Nell’s heart was filled with love, kindness and generosity towards her family and many friends over the years. She loved cooking for whoever came through the door. Through the years Nell enjoyed square dancing, gardening, golf and tennis. Her wonderful sense of humor made her a joy to be around. Her abiding faith was an inspiration to all. Nell was an enthusiastic fan of the Fl. Gators, Ga. Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. She loved her afternoon happy hour. Her beautiful spirit is with us always.

Funeral services will be 10AM. Saturday at The Crossroads, Chapel, 206 W. Orange St. Davenport, Fl.
