WINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA - Joseph David Baugh of Winter Haven passed away Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Winter Haven Hospital from pneumonia.
He was 95 years old.
Born February 20, 1914 in Tampa, Florida, Joseph grew up in Eagle Lake.
He retired from Winter Haven Auto Parts.
Joseph was a US Army veteran during World War II, serving in both the African & Italian campaigns; A 58 year member, and Sunday School Teacher at the First Baptist Church of Winter Haven; and was a member of the American Legion Post 8 in Winter Haven.
Joseph was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years:
Huldah G. Baugh.
He is survived by his daughters:
Alice Roberta Meador of Winter Haven, Catherine Marie Albury of Lake City, FL, Elizabeth "Betsy" Jo King of Snellville, GA, Susan Carol Norville of Mountain Brook, AL; and one sister:
Catherine Robertson of Eagle Lake, FL.
Joseph also has 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care n Winter Haven.
Funeral services will be Friday, 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Winter Haven.
Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport, FL.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the building fund at First Baptist Church, 198 W. Central Ave, Winter Haven, FL 33880 or to the Evergreen Cemetery Association in Davenport, FL.
