WAHNETA - John Wallace "Jack" Faulkner of Wahneta passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the Winter Haven Hospital from heart failure. He was 75.
A native of Choccolocco, Alabama, born September 9, 1933, Jack moved here 27 years ago from Alabama. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator, and a US Air Force Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents: Era Faulkner Hicks & Charles Walton Faulkner, a sister: Eloise Lloyd, and a brother Frank Faulkner.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years: Gladys Thompson Faulkner of Wahneta, his sons: Ricky Faulkner of Haines City, FL, James Faulkner of Milton, FL, Donald Faulkner of Kissimmee, FL; daughters: Susie Stickley of West Virginia, Tonya Faulkner of Lakeland, FL, step-sons: James Thompson of Eagle Lake, FL & William Thompson of Wahneta, step-daughters: Kathy Grubbs of Wahneta & Janice Geary of Wahneta, his brother: Howard Faulkner of Oxford, AL, and his sister: Lois Glosson of Marietta, GA. Jack also has 4 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, and
19 step-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, March 9, 2009 from 2 to 3 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home chapel.
